This knowledge support has been produced by Allvarligt Sjuka Barn to assist physicians and other healthcare professionals when issuing a medical certificate for temporary parental benefit (VAB – tillfällig föräldrapenning) for a allvarligt sjukt barn.

Role of Försäkringskassan
Försäkringskassan is responsible for the legal assessment.
This means the authority assesses:
